World No Tobacco Day marks the annual awareness campaign launched by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1987, the aim being to highlight the health risks associated with tobacco use and encourage governments worldwide to implement effective policies to reduce tobacco use.
WHO highlight that tobacco use kills more than 7 million people worldwide every year, and this figure will continue to rise unless anti-tobacco actions increase. read more…

The Health Promotion joined a number of other organisations including Childline, Clubhouse , the Disability Society and Autism Support Gibraltar at #YouthDayGIB run by the Gibraltar Youth Service. The day provided a great opportunity for children to get involved in various arts, crafts, interactive games and learn about the wide array of services available for children on the rock!
