World Blood Donor Day, 14th June 2015

P1020024World Blood Donor Day raises awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products. The World Health Organization (WHO) and its partners highlight how safe blood from voluntary donors can save people’s lives everywhere, and commend voluntary unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gift of blood. Many people would not be alive today if it wasn’t for the generosity of our donors. Blood is something expected to be there when needed, but only 4% of people actually donate.

The Gibraltar Blood Donation Service and Health Promotion team were at Casemates running this campaign, commemorating World Blood Donor Day; providing further information and recruiting new blood donors.
